The tour starts from Athinios port and our first destination is the famous volcano of Santorini. We stay there for approximately 1,5 hours where you have the chance to walk the volcano’s ridge with your guide who will explain to you everything about the history and geology of the volcano before we continue towards our next stop.
We stop at the island of Palea Kameni where the famous hot springs are located on the west side. We will stop here for 30 minutes at a distance of 30 meters from the shallow waters of Agios Nicholaos’ beach. The waters are mixed with mud full of sulfur, iron and other metals coming from the volcano.
We continue our tour and visit the island of Thirassia, a miniature of what Santorini used to be several years ago. The island of Thirassia is only 9 square kms in size and have approximately 300 permanent inhabitants. We will stay here for 2 hours for you to have time to explore the picturesque traditional village as well as taste the authentic Santorinian cuisine (optional). Should you wish, we can also walk to the main village of Manolas, which is the capital of the island with spectacular view.
Good to bring with you on the tour is swimsuit (dark colors are recommended), towel, sun hat and comfortable shoes – avoid flip flops – a moderate amount of walking is involved.
