There is a unique viticulture environment in Santorini. Grpe cultivation has been priactised on the island since Greek antiquity and Santorini’s vineyard is the oldest in the Mediterranean. Wines from Santorini were a major export product in the 18th and 19th centuries. Vinsanto, a wine made from sun dried grapes was traveling to Russia and other European countries.
The grapes grow in traditional rolls, giving it a unique taste adored by critics and wine enthusiasts all over the world.
